book loft

hello me lovely readers :3

sorry ive been so absent recently,

i dropped my camera (for yet another time) and i think

i finally broke it! so no looks for now i suppose..

but that gave me a chance to look back at some ol' photos of mine

that i had stashed away.

and i even found this photo of my grandma! 

she had such thick red hair back then, ive always wished she passed it

down to me, and now she gets it all done up fancy every other week :3

it's interesting, really, how much we get in the habit of things.

my gram has gone to the same salon for around 30 years!

the past two days have consisted of constant rain,

which kept me up at night.. and though im sleepy,

im taking advantage of the cool weather by going

to the book loft (32 rooms of books!) and then to Jane's

since ive been neglecting her also!

a lovely day

today was a lovely day.

i really truly lovely day, even though i had class.

i might explain later.. but i don't want to sabotage anything!

just something new and nice and that makes me smile :3

but i do wish i was back in boston or anywhere

where a sweater would be appropriate for days

that are quite as lovely as this.

hahah oh thor xp

he always makes this face at me in the

morning when he wants yet another meat treat

he's handsome, no doubt, but he's quite the handful.

coffee girl

it's so very hot here,

so to make myself less of a grumpy poo my mom

bought me a starbucks :3

my favourite kind too! a coffee frappucino with peppermint,

which is great because most dairy makes me feel all

sick and gross inside, but not these!

if they weren't a bazillion calories i swear id

have a starbucks drink everyday, hahah xp

tonight im going to attempt to do some work,

but i dont know how much ill get in because i have

an art ceremony tonight!

my art teacher picked me out of the entire school

because she felt my art represented what our art department

is all aboot!

so yes i have to go get all dressed fancy and

sip punch and stand like an awkward kid up on stage for 

two hours.. but it's an honour none the less!

frills, and flowers and tea oh my!

my birthday is approaching!

in officially one month and 4 days, i will be a 16 year old!

and unlike many american shows may imply,

we dont' all spend a fortune on fancy parties and cars..

in fact i just want to go get tea with some friends of mine!

but i just finished my list for my family members and this is it!

i know it seems like a lot, but its really just ideas!

they all know me so well really, they always surprise me with just

the sweetest gifts and ahh they are so perfect.

as you can see, i like all this cute really.

cute and fluffy and flowery and old!

hehe i think i just described an old lady..

well i love the elderly so that's quite fitting i suppose.

arg im rambling! sigh im sorry.

ive missed writing quite  alot.. i dunno ive just felt like

im a bit bland to you all right now.

i hope that's not the case >.<

but yes my birthdday!

its also the day after school is out, woo!

the weather was so calming today,

it made everything look so nice and beautiful,

even my uninteresting stone front!

the top was given to me by jane, the backpack is secondhand,

the jean dress is from h&m and the shoes are asos!

i had some pasta with cheese sauce last night

wif me gma, and i found her stash of cookies back at her home xp

hahah needless to say she has quite the sweet tooth!

we watched 'glee' and 'say yes to the dress', and did the

interview in the morning.

i even bought some new sockies! like these :3

you can't tell really, but they have this lovely scallop

detail around the top.

me head feells so jumbled at the moment

i keep getting angry with myself because i focus so poorly

but im trying to stay positive since i know i have such little

time left in school.

and whenever i sit for a spell i start to get upset,

thinking i have so much else i should be doing,

but sitting is all i wish to do.

and that is all i will until i begin to feel better.

tales in stories and finds

what about the hours i spent

devising the tales i told

my fiction just to balance our

i have my bags all packed to spend the night

up at my grams... and oh do i miss her!

i havent seen her since she took me to an appointment a week 

or so ago, and i have to interview for school.

i always love to listen to her stories, and now i get to

record them too!

then on saturday, mom and i are going to an antique market

to gather more stories and things to bring some happiness

to me tiny room. 

i also need to practice my driving! im quite horrid to be honest xp

rose-tinted

schoool has been quite difficult for me recently..

well almost everything has been.

so i decided to take today off to catch up on my work,

and finally edit these photos!

im just about finished with my rose painting at school,

and next we are doing self portraits >.<

argg im quite scared. it'll be odd painting myself i think,

but here's my ideas!

the top image is the original, but my teacher wants a more

odd coloured one so we wont focus on skin tone and such.

which of the two do you all like best?

one is rosier than the other.. but i cant decide!

me hands feel like icicles because me home

feels like an igloo, and i do believe tea is the only

remedy. time to go set up the angry kettle man :3

shiver shiver

despite looking absolutely horrid,

look at that sausage link of a dog sleepin' on me couch!

i went for a walk... a very VERY cold walk.

i would touch me arm and not even know i was because

my fingers were that numb.

so i threw on two sweaters and got my big mug full

of tea (second cup of the night, third of the day :3) and

just watched a scary episode of Doctor Who.

oh and my mom found this artist who puts photos

of the heads of animals, pets, and nerd icons on old photos!

hehe its absolutely such a laugh, my mom bought me one

that has a cat that looks like me kitty on a little girl's body.

ah me cup is empty! i must go refill..

hahah i have never seen such gorgeous shoes in my life!

unfortunately, they don't ship to the US, but they will 

remain in my thoughts and i shall draw inspiration from them.

ive had a rather blah day of researching for school,

but i slept late with my cat which was lovely despite her drool.

i know i said i was thinking of taking a break

from lookbook and what not,

and i am still, in a way.

i just get so nitpicky about the editing and how the photos

should go together that i end up ruining the look most of the time :x

so im only going to post from time to time now!

ive actually had these oxfords since the summertime,

but ive been waiting to pair them with the perfect thing...

until i found this floral dress! :3

i bought it for only $1 at the thrift store, but it went

all the way to my ankles. a little amish-y for me.

over the holiday it got hemmed, but it was cut far too short!

so i went and found this lovely lace and got that sewed on

to add some muuch needed length for me.

what do you all think?

today is such a lovely day..

70s and breezy.. and it seems as if the flowers have bloomed
overnight. oh it makes me happy, really and truly.

siiiigh  im so tired. i think it's
time for my favourite glass of chocolate milk and an

episode of "Castle" before i dive into my homework.

place.. but ive decided to only do looks when i feel inspired to!

anyhoo, the week is in full swing and im alrighty

in need of a nap.

also this week, i was thinking of getting a hair cut!

just a trim really, because i wont let them cut any more than that

(my hair grows like a grandma walks) but maybe new bangs?

ah i dont know.
